Today was a warm, rainy day. Every time I get one of these rainy days, my mind starts churning through the list of waterfalls for which I need better pictures of and that are easy, and safe, to get to in the rain. Today, Upper Chattahoochee came to the forefront. So, I drove up to Cleveland GA and picked up GA 75 Alternate. Just before getting to the Chattahoochee River north of Helen, I turned left on Poplar Stump Road. FS 44 begins after a couple of miles and the Upper Chattahoochee River Camp Ground is about another seven miles. Here are three shots of the foliage along FS 44.
