  • Greg Ford visited this waterfall a couple weeks ago. I was looking for a short bushwhack between rain storms and this one looked like a good candidate.
  • Take East Boggs Mountain Road east from US Hwy 23/441 for about 0.5 miles and park at a small pull-off.
  • Before you go, put two way points in your Garmin or Gaia: 34.82134, -83.41637 for parking and 34.81954, -83.41524 for the waterfall. After parking, just head off though the woods toward the waterfall way point.
  • It is an easy bushwhack through open woods until you get close to the creek and even then, it is an easy bushwhack through rhododendron and laurel bushes. Because the waterfall is located behind a small ridge when approaching from where you parked, you won't be able to hear the waterfall until you get close to the creek.
  • Hopefully, you will arrive at the bottom of this hidden gem of a waterfall. Twenty-to-twenty two feet high.
  • An easy scramble up the River Right side and you can see the upper tier.
  • This 19 second video shows the upper tier to be a very nice 20 - 22 footer.
  • Folks, this is a very short, low level, low danger, bushwhack. About 0.3 miles round trip. If you are a beginner to the sport of Waterfallin' and want to try out a little off-trail stuff, this is a perfect hike for you.
