Cowrock Creek is one of those creeks that is a wide open tumbling stream. The geology does not support the development of waterfalls on the creek per se. All the waterfalls I have found in the area are on the tributaries. I bushwhacked up Cowrock for more than a mile beyond the turn off for the waterfall(s) in the "Cowrock Creek Area". While the Creek was a beautiful, constantly tumbling, endless series of mini-drops, I found nothing I could call a waterfall. Park by the gate at the end of FS 443 in Boggs Creek Recreation Area.
